Being the first born of four, I arrived when my parents resided in Boston, Massachusetts. For the next twenty years moving around the country became my family’s stock and trade. Eventually, I embarked on a traditional college journey which finally ended after a decade of post graduate study, none of which involved art; though during my high school and college passages I earned a little revenue creating leaded art glass. By the early 1990s I started teaching myself to paint – mostly landscapes. A couple of encouraging local painters were generous with their time and knowledge of the craft. Early on I discovered the value of “on location” painting, which persists.

To my surprise, many of my works belong to others, partly due to invited participation in local plein air events, showing images in a few galleries, exhibiting in occasional special location shows and through my website, which you have found.
